We have seen a lot of new cars right now with several high-end technologies packed inside their hoods and interiors. But ever heard of a vintage car being remotely operated through an iPod touch? Dave Phipps, the ingenious builder of the remote operated 1969 Pontiac GTO has been improving it for years. He did it by purchasing the Pontiac GTO, completely rewired it, attached a Linksys wireless router and used a system called RedEye. With his modification he can turn on the ignition, open up the doors and trunks, roll down windows and put down the top, control the radio, activate the alarm and even rev the engine from a distance. It’s really handy for those who easily forget his car keys or just want to have a back-up key with him.
