NYC Future Taxi Posted: 01 Jun 2010 08:26 AM PDT New York Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) announced its search for a vehicle that would replace the taxis of New York City. According to their new website, “The Taxi of Tomorrow project is a unique opportunity to explore upgrades to the existing NYC taxi fleet by learning about possibilities for a more appropriate vehicle that reflects the needs of its diverse stakeholders – passengers, drivers, owners and NYC residents.” Requirements for the new model taxicab was set.
