ArcelorMital Steel Nanotechnology Posted: 03 Feb 2011 02:24 PM PST ArcelorMital, the world’s largest steel maker has created a new kind of steel that would drastically change the characteristic of autos. The steel nanotechnology is said to be similar to the lightweight constructions of an aluminum car but a lot cheaper. ArcelorMital intentionally wanted to cut off the mass of the BIW which is the basic structure of the car to give way for other features and improve speed. Furthermore, the nano steel will also eliminate excess parts that become safe hazards for automobiles. ArcelorMital said that consumers still have to wait for two or three more years before automakers acquire this technology. Share This |
