Koenigsegg Agera R Posted: 27 Feb 2011 06:02 AM PST The Koenigsegg Agera R will make its worldwide debut at the Geneva Motor Show this week. The Agera R features a 5.0-L twin-turbo V8 mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Over-all output can reach up to 1,115-hp and 885 lb-ft of torque on E85. Its body has a carbon fiber build and the color blocking is decided upon the owner’s request. For this show car and its first public appearance, the inspiration is the car from the Speed Racer movie. Mazda MX-5 Ice Racing Posted: 27 Feb 2011 06:00 AM PST Mazda equipped 20 of their MX-5 roadsters with spike tires and put them into race on ice in Sweden. The race lasted four hours with fans and automotive journalists participating the event. Here’s from out source: “Mazda opens the 2011 motorsport season on Swedish ice. After the successful MX-5 Open Race last year, Mazda is inviting racing enthusiasts to Sweden for the MX-5 Ice Race from 21 to 24 February 2011. A total of 20 modified MX-5s, tuned for driving on ice and wearing spike tyres, will participate in the four-hour race on the ca. 5 km grid.” Watch the video after the gallery break.
