2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Posted: 31 Mar 2011 05:44 AM PDT
Zooming in is the 2011 most expensive manufactured car in the world. The 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport features a W16 engine with a power of 1,200 metric horse power (that’s 199hp more from its predecessor) and torque of 1, 500 N-m, and revised aerodynamic package. It also decreased the fuel consumption by 10% compared to the 16.4 Grand Sport. The beast’s top speed was tested by Pierre Henri Raphanel, Bugatti’s official test driver, at Super Sport version of the Veyron on Volkswagen’s Ehra-Lessien high-speed oval. It recorded an average maximum speed of 267.856 mph (431.072 km/h) however, the Super Sport production models are electronically limited to 258 mph (415 km/h) only to protect its expensive tires. Now, you don’t really need that speed on highways do you? Man, blessed are the people who are earning at least $ 2, 600, 000 a month! |
