The most desirable classic Ferrari now becomes the most expensive car ever. A copy of the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold at a private event for a princely sum of $35 million. The car has a rich back story and the primary highlight must be the fact that it was specifically designed by Ferrari for Sir Sterling Moss. The legendary driver never got to ride this machine due to an accident but it tasted race-spec asphalt nevertheless. She’s now in the loving care of US-based classic car collector Craig McCaw.
