More bad news for Toyota this week as it’s dispute over a patent from Hybrid technology was sided with Paice LLC. There was an earlier lawsuit involving Paice and Toyota previously for almost the same thing and Toyota was ordered to pay royalty fees to Paice, even though Paice was seeking to halt the sales of the Prius and Highlander Hybrids altogether. Toyota faces a similiar situation in this case as well. Paice is an acronym for Power-Assisted Internal Combustion Engines and the patent is over how the car supplies it’s power to the wheels. Paice also has a suit against Ford for almost the same issue.
